Q about birthday party for 5 year old girl

I'm having a party for my DD's 5th bday and a bunch of boys are coming. Would it be weird for them to use plates, cups etc with butterflies and flowers on them? I was standing in the store debating this in my head before I left with no paper goods. I think we've been to parties where my older son has used Hannah Montana plates to eat cake but I can't remember if it was just the cake. Should I just get more neutral stuff - it's her party and I know she would pick the butterfly/flower stuff if given the choice. I hate that I am overthinking this. WWYD?

No, not at all. It's her day and her theme. They are so young stuff like that doesn't matter them to them at all. Just lots of play time, candy and cupcakes Chat Icon

Her Birthday, her party, her theme.

Adults ate in Backyardigans plates last year for DS' birthday party.Chat Icon

My DS could care less, as long as there is cake on that plate Chat Icon

You know Sean would eat cake off the floor if he needed to, so I'm going to say the boys could care less about the butterflies. Chat Icon Only you and I would think of this. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Exactly.... Nobody looks at the plates. I've been to quite a few 4, 5, and 6yo b-day parties with DS..... nobody looks at the plates. Girls don't mind Monster Truck plates, and boys don't mind flowers and butterflies. Chat Icon Chat Icon
