Q about cleaning pump parts...

Do you clean with warm soap and water AND boil parts between each use? I boiled before the first use but I'm not sure from the instructions whether I should be doing this each time or the dishwasher. The thing is - the parts are plastic so I am afraid to boil/dishwash it continuously and feel like maybe I should just wash with soap and water. Thanks!

No, just hot/warm water and soap. I have a pot in my sink (that I keep in all day long Chat Icon ) where I wash all pump parts and bottles. I put the bottles and pump parts as soon as I am finished so that it does not have time to set.

Re: Q about cleaning pump parts...

I usually use just soap and hot water, most of the time, but if I happen to have a load of dishes about to go and the right moment I will through them into the top rack - which I have heard is just as good as boiling.

I use warm(closer to hot) water and soap. Soak the parts for a few minutes, then rinse and air dry.

I used to use hot soapy water. I too would throw them in the dishwasher if I had a load ready to go. I didn't boil except for the first use.
