Q from Mom of a flowergirl
Hi Newlyweds
My daughter is going to be a flowergirl this August and I could use some input from some more recent BTDT brides.
She's going to be 7 in July so she's not a toddler. We have the dress and the bride is open to everything else.
What kind of shoes does a FG wear? It's a summer wedding so I think she would be uncomfortable in tights. What do they wear on their feet? Sandals?
This is her dress in ivory with a dark aqua blue ("pool") bow. The dress will be the same length as the pic so the shoes will be showing.
Also does anyone have FG hair pics to share? I think she is going to be wearing a tiara and probably wearing her hair up bc it's fine and will probably hold up better all night if it's an updo.
Any other feedback would be appreciated. I'm concerned about keeping her clean in satin all night. haha
TIA

Re: Q from Mom of a flowergirl
I got married inn July and my niece was 3. (Actually her dress had a pool bow also). My niece wore comfy slip on )almost ballet type) shoes and very light ankle socks. She wore her hair clipped back with a pool bow.

Re: Q from Mom of a flowergirl
Lauren wore a pretty full dress last year at my sisters wedding. While she wasn't the FG, I got her a nice dress and white shoes. I got them at Payless. They weren't sandals per say, they had a closed toe and she wore them with ankle socks that had little frilly's on them. She was only 4, so I don't know how that might go over with T being 7??
I can't find the shoes on the website, but these are similar, but Lauren's didn't have the silver buckle.....

Re: Q from Mom of a flowergirl
For our wedding, we had 3 flowergirls (3 & 4 & 20 months). The 2 bigger girls wore white sandals (one had tights, 4 year old didn't)
Here's a close up of their hair

Re: Q from Mom of a flowergirl
My daughter was 9 last year when I got married. Although she was technically my maid of honor she wore exactly what a flower girl would wear. She did not wear tights. I will try to post a pic.

My FGs also wore shoes w/ ankle socks. I had them do their hair natural.
