Q re: Home Depot truck rental
Does anyone know if you have to be making a purchase to rent one of their trucks? We need to move a few pieces of furniture and it was pretty inexpensive to rent one if I recall correctly. I just didnt know if a purchase of something larger was necessary (hence the need for a truck). Thanks

yes, I believe you have to purchase from them to use their truck... you can rent a u-haul van for pretty cheap though.

U-Haul is cheaper. Home Depot is $20 for 1.5 hours and then $5 for every fifteen min after. And you have to make a purchase.

I also dont think you can reserve HD in advance. We needed it one day and had to wait for over an hour for a truck to become available. it s*cked.

You have to buy something that requires the truck. They inspect your receipt after purchase, and no, you cannot reserve it in advance.

Liz, did you know that HD gets their rental trucks from DH's dealership?? 
Not sure. We took a huge cargo van one day to pick up our french doors and it didn't fit, so we had to rent one of their trucks for the 4 mile roundtrip. Turns out if was one of DH's truck.
Liz, what are you moving? DH may have something he can help you out wiht. But he's in Queens, so sometimes its not worth the trip there.
