QOTD 2/17/2011
This is my last QOTD as the PPOW I hope to pass the torch and keep this thread going as we do on other boards.
My final question for you all:
Cloning, would you do it?

Re: QOTD 2/17/2011
These are some great questions!
Tempting, but no. Besides the fact, there are so many pets out there who need homes... the clone pet still wouldn't be the same. Just because the clone dog would look like my old dog and bark like my old dog, he still wouldn't be my old dog. And lastly, I love that my dogs keep me on my toes. There's always a new and exciting experience!

I don't think I could either. I LOVE my dog but his experiences before we had him made him the wonderful pet we cherish. And, like you said there are some wonderful pets in need of a furever home.

no.. i know there can only be one furbaby like my little cat.. and as much as i love him, i think when the time comes, we can give another furbaby that needs a mommy and daddy a wonderful home.

Re: QOTD 2/17/2011
I don't think I would. I agree with the PP who said there can only be one furbaby like this one. That's something I love about my pets - their personalities are so unique.
And beyond that, my one dog has very bad allergies, and although I love her so, so much just the way she is, expensive treatments and all, I wouldn't choose to put another life through all her discomfort and medications and all that.

Re: QOTD 2/17/2011
Nope. As much as I love my babies, every animal is a new experience. I'd like the opportunity to give a different animal a home, and to have a new and exciting experience as a furmom.

Re: QOTD 2/17/2011
Emphatically...NO.
If I could give all that I have to have Schultz back, my Schultz, not a clone, I would do it.
But even if, in some alternate universe, I could've cloned him, I never would have. The clone would've had his DNA and maybe even looked exactly like him, but no dog, not even a clone, will ever have the bond that he and I did.

No- Cloning on copies the genes not the personality.
