What made you decide to do this?

Did you discuss with your ped?

How many bottles of formula do you give DC per day?

Do you do it on a certain schedule - i.e. DC gets formula same time every day?

Do you pump during the feeding that you feed DC the formula or just skip that feeding?

I am torn whether to continue supplementing since I have been FF due to antibiotics and am now slowly transitioning back to BF.

DD needed more than I was making so i supplemented 2 feedings. Now I am giving it to help her gain weight.

Did you discuss with your ped?
Yes, she was fine with it. Just told me to watch and see if she had any digestive issue.

How many bottles of formula do you give DC per day?
2 bottles

Do you do it on a certain schedule - i.e. DC gets formula same time every day?
One in the day and the 2nd to last feeding at night so dad can help.

Do you pump during the feeding that you feed DC the formula or just skip that feeding?

I pump during the formula feeding.

I was going back to work and was nervous that I would not be able to pump/keep up with the supply I would need while she was at daycare

Yes... just to ask what type to use, she told me it didn't matter.

2 for now, just while she's at daycare.

yes--just the two during the day. we also keep up the weekday schedule for DD on the weekends, just for consistency.

I used to pump once daily at work for the two bottles she had at daycare, but I am slowly weaning myself from that pumping because of the inconvenience to do it from work.

Good luck with whatever you decide. I think all of us breastfeeding mommies should be proud of the fact that we gave as much breastmilk as we did/could and not stress ourselves out about the addition of formula!!!

DS was born at 11pounds 8oz and I needed to supplement because he was feeding like a 2-3 month old and I had no milk.

She's the one that told me to do it.

How many bottles of formula do you give DC per day?
First 2 weeks, supplemented 2oz every feeding. Now, supplement about 2- 5oz per day in 1 or 2 feedings.

DH usually gives him 2-3 oz in the morning to give me a few hours sleep. I was very ill when they realeased me from the hospital and DH wants to help me get better. (But sometimes it's pumped milk instead during morning feeding.) Sometimes he takes a few ounces around 11pm too.

I pump during the night because DS barely eats during the night. He's up all night, but eats sparingly. No idea why.

DD had lost a lot of weight in the first week, she was also jaundiced...

Yes, he agreed that she should get some formula to help with the weight gain

Usually in the afternoon when we're out

I used to pump, but at 5 months I no longer do
