Quality Review Question

We have a quality review coming up and I was wondering if this review counts towards anything about you personally? As in, if you do an amazing job (and the rest of your school doesn't) does anyone know? Or vice versa... you do a bad job, does anyone find out? My school is a major disaster... I am afraid that many teachers in my school no longer care and will not put in any effort. But also, I am working hard, doing the best I can do... but I am given nothing. I am worried they will say stuff that I don't do enough... I only have my one personal laptop that I project onto the back on white paper that I taped to the wall. Just wondering how the QR effects me personally.

You shouldn't worry at all.

They look for schoolwide trends. If 90% of the classes they visit are proficient then that means 1.1 and 1.2 are proficient. If most of the classes are a mix of developing/proficient then 1.1 and 1.2 will be developing.

At my school 2 years ago, the majority of classes we visited were developing. However, the reviewer was impressed with one of the teachers. When it came for tenure, the reviewer (also the sup) remembered and approved tenure for that teacher.
