because in queens there is flouride in the water. The is not flouride in suffolk or nassau.
My dr. made it seem like the vitamin was primarily for the flouride so we didn't need it.
As my DD gets pickier with food he told me I *could* give her a vitamin if I wanted to but its not necessary - so I am not sure what to do.

I just called my sister, who lives in Queens, and she said she gives her 2.5 yr old son vitamins, mainly because he is a picky eater (like your DD), and because he only drinks bottled water, not from the tap. She heard the same thing about the vitamin being mainly for flouride.

Only when I remember. She has the Disney Princess gummy ones and loves them but we both usually forget. I never gave her the liquid ones as a baby either although I was instructed to after she was off formula.

im in queens too.. and i only give them the vitamins when we have a bad few days of eating.. aBTW my doc said the same ting as yours did
