I'm actually a little p.o.'d that my friend who lives in Fort Lee has the same package for like $80 or something like that.

We pay about $129 plus taxes/fees. We have digital phone, road runner, and digital cable. An extra cable box, and both are HD. One is HD and DVR. So all that crapp is extra. I would have to look at a recent bill to give you an accurate monthly charge... around $150? We just added HBO channels and that's $15/month! I told DH that we should try it out for a month and if we don't watch it enough that we should cancel the HBO channels and get 3 Movies on Demand each month.

Re: Queens/NYC Folks

We have TWC. It's an old package with DTV and internet (before the days of VOIP), and it comes with on-demand and 3 premiums. We also have 5 exta boxes. I think it's about $140

We have Time Warner- cable and Roadrunner. We will probably upgrade to Triple Play soon. We pay a lot, but we have an HD cable box, premium channels and DVR.

We had Time Warner for 4 years, so when the triple play came out we didn't qualify for the promo rate, so that su cked.

My parents have RCN and they live in Manhattan.

RCN which $ucks royally and the entire bill with taxes etc comes out to about $200 a month...that includes phone, cable, internet access and HBO and all those other crappy channels...I say crappy bc they play the same movies OVER and OVER again...and the "On Demand" movies are crappy as well.

Re: Queens/NYC Folks

We have DirecTV. I am really happy with it. I pay $69.98 but I think my package no longer exists. This package includes all of the HBOs.

Time Warner. We pay for the "Entertainment Pack" (which includes cable and internet) + HBO + an additional tv in the bedroom. We do not have a telephone linr. With taxes and service fees it comes to around $130 per month.

We switched from TWC to DirectTV... TWC prices were getting out of control.

Sounds like we have the exact same package (1 DVR, 1 HD DVR) and we just eliminated HBO because of the price increase since we dont watch it. My bill is around $170.
