Queens school districts?
anyone know much about it? anyone know if district 29 is good or not?

No good. I grew up in District 26 and would only consider sending my kids to schools in this area.

I work in district 29, but in a high school. Not sure where your house is. I think you can call 311 to find out which school you're zoned for.
Check out www.insideschools.org. They're an independent group that reviews NYC schools. They're very informative.
