Queens Zoo
For those that have gone - what is the parking like? Is there parking nearby - is it pay parking? street parking? How hard is it to find a place to park?

We were there a couple of weeks ago and got very lost. We ended up on the wrong side of the parkway and couldn't find it. We finally parked near the art museaum b/c DH saw the bird cages across the way. It was free parking and we walked over. I did see additional parking closer to the zoo and it was free too. It's not that crowded this time of year so parking shouldn't be a problem.

there is free parking. follow the signs of the Science museum and park in that lot. then go in the park and and it's a short walk. You'll see the carousel on your left, it's just past that.

thank you! So I should get directions then to the museum instead - is it easier to find since I notice a few people say that the zoo is hard to find
