Ques for teachers and daycare mommies re classroom transition
What do you think is better for a toddler's transition from daycare into a toddler classroom --- to go to the same classroom as other kids he knows OR to go with the best class/teacher and have him go into the classroom alone? DS is only one and a half and we are switching programs TIA!

Re: Ques for teachers and daycare mommies
Honestly I think it depends on your child. My DD was transitioned into a room where she new other kids and she still had a very hard time transitioning. She cried for 2 months straight. Having kids she knew made no difference. For others, that would make all the difference. I would have preferred a better teacher/class if given the choice, since I am not loving her daycare teacher in this room.

I agree that it depends on the child. We just transitioned DD into the one year old program - new teachers, new building, etc. They have the same schedule, which helps. But we kept her with kids she knows and I think it helped her. We had no issues with the transition. It's only been a couple of weeks and she is kissing and hugging her teachers and excited to get to school.

Depends on the kid.... We just moved our 3 yo to a new place(so new teachers and new kids) and he's adjusted better than where he was at. He actually says he wants to go to school and doesn't give me a tough time for the drop off... The new place was also more his age group instead of younger kids.
