Ques from a soon-to-be mom... How do you warm your bottles if you are out with your LO?

I plan on breastfeeding and pumping.

How do you warm bottles while you are out with your LO and he/she needs to eat??

Sorry if this makes no sense, but TIA!

don't warm them, get the baby used to room temp bottles, imho Chat Icon

eta - if you are set on warming them, carry a cup with you and place the bottle into hot tap water for a few minutes to warm up

So, even at home, you wouldn't warm the bottles??

Thanks for the suggestion. Chat Icon

I never warmed the bottles, BUT I did not pump for very long....

I give powdered formula and leave the filtered water at room temp

when I would give him a bottle from the fridge of pumped milk, I will give it cold

it is really up to you, I just did not want him to get used to always having warm bottles, he never seemed botherd by the cold ones Chat Icon

ditto on not warming them up

But if you insist they have travel warmers and most places will warm up water for you for you to put your bottles into to warm.

I don't. I think I warmed DD's bottles for a bit and that got old fast. DS's bottles were never warmed.

While I was BFing, I just BFed DD when I was out. I never pumped very much so my stores were saved for when I needed to leave DD home with a sitter and when I returned to work.

If I were to give her a heated bottle of BM, I'd ask for a large cup of hot water and let it sit in there for a bit. Or run it under a hot water tap.

Never warmed them. DD preferred it from the fridge or straight from the tap. The warmest she would tolerate was room temp.

I always served her bottles room temperature, and she didn't mind at all.

ITA. Never warmed them. They only thing we would warm was breastmilk from the fridge...and even then we only made it room temp. I went out with friends once that asked the waiter for a cup of hot water to put the bottle in.

DS prefers warm bottles, his tummy seems to prefer it anyway. But if I'm in a pinch, room temp bottles are fine.
If you are FF, make little powder packets of formula and bring a bottle of water with you and make the bottle then and there. Formula spoils in 1 hour.
Fresh breastmilk lasts 6 hours or more at room temp.

OMG I soooo agree w/ everyone about giving room temp. or cold... DD is 7 months, she always got the ready to feed formula. Now b/c I always warmed them she really only likes them warm...I am a sucker!!! LOL!!! but I would ask for a cup of hot water...now I started to give it room temp. or even a drop cool to start getting her used to it...good luck!!!

Re: Ques from a soon-to-be mom... How do you warm your bottles if you are out with your LO?

I never warmed them persay, I would put them into a cup of warm water for five minutes...once dd started teething she actually liked cold milk, so I would take it out and give it to her....Chat Icon my theory is, its easier to do less in terms of temp b/c then it makes your life easier!
