Question

I'm using a different screen name because I really don't want anyone to know who I am. I just started seeing a RE and was prescribed Provera. I have finished it and have just gotten my period. I will go in for day 3 blood work. What is the next step? Will they give me Clomid or do I have to have an HSG?

On day 3 they will test your fsh, and estradoil levels. If they are elevated they will call you. They will also do a u/s to check for cysts. I am not sure what plan, they are setting up for you, but yes you may be prescribed clomid...however, I would request femara. If you don't normally ovulate on your own, you will be given clomid/femara to take days 5-9 if you do ovulate on your own usually it's days 3-7. If you have a lot of cysts, you may be asked to go on metformin.You may just be asked to come in on 7 dpo for a progesterone test. They may want you to get your hsg done, right after AF and before ovulation. It really all depends on your bloodwork.
