Re: Question
The ONLY thing my dr said was ok was regular strength Tylenol. But even in the 1st trimester, being that you're so early, IMO - I would avoid it.
But that's just me
Call your doctor with ANY concerns about taking anything.

Re: Question
Tylenol is recommended...but you should call your doctor before you take anything, so he can make sure everything is ok.

Re: Question
My doctor said tylenol only as well. But, to be honest throughout the whole pregnancy I have taken only one for a terrible, terrible headache.....

I actually have been living in sneakers, just thinking of heels makes my back hurt!

Re: Question
I refused to take anything in my first 12 weeks, except the pre-natals. But only Tylenol is allowed during pregnancy. Most doctors will tell you to avoid any medications in your first 12 weeks.

I agree. Try to do other things like use a heating pad or take a bath before you try medications.
And if you really NEED the tylenol, take 1 pill instead of 2

Re: Question
Definitely Tylenol. I took it also around the same time as you (4 1/2 weeks), but I had a mild flu and fever. My doctor said a high fever could cause more problems than the Tylenol, so I took it till the fever went away. For a backache, you might want to check with a doctor. You can call with a question even if you haven't had your first prenatal.
