question

What does everyone when they are going out for the day as far as preparing bottles.

If you use formula already made do you make the bottle, put it in a cooler and warm it up when ready to feed?

If using power, do you put the powder in bottles and add water when ready to feed?

Re: question

I always used room temp bottles. I would prefill my Dr Browns wth water and bring mixing caps with me. I had a formula container(best invention ever) and would mix while I was out and needed it. It was super convienent.

we did the same. the formula dispensers really are the greatest invention! i always had lots of "older" moms comment about how they wished that was around when they had kids.

Re: question

For Matthew, I use the little bottles that Enfamil makes and just pour it into his bottle.

Fir Christopher he is on different formula I put it in a bottle cooler, he doesnt acre if the bottle is cold.

I do the same exact thing. The formula containers are the best. I just measure the amount out and go.

Re: question

We bring the 3 slot formula holder thingy. LOL. I don't know what it is "officially" called. If it's a long day I will bring 2 of them. 1 bottle. and bottled water.

Re: question

For a one-day outing, we use an insulated lunch bag (we have several different types), with one or more icepacks, and bottles based on how long we'll be out. We use RTF formula, and fill the bottles before we leave. When DC needs a bottle, we just pull one out, and we're good to go. They don't care that it's a little chilly.

Same here. I try to keep the formula thing filled and in the bag this way I just throw a bottle with water in the diaper bag.

Me too...but when using premade formula, I used a cooler bag with ice packs and "warmed" the bottle in a cup with boiling water for a minute or two

This is what I did - except since my babies were use to warm bottles I would bring hot water with me in an insulated bag.
