Question
How long should you stop taking birth control before trying to get pregnant? When should you begin taking prenatals?

I am not sure about the birth control question but my OB said if I planned to try to conceive I could start taking prenatals 2-3 months before trying. Some people don't start until they get their BFP. Good luck!

I've heard six months for birth control. It's never too early to start taking pre natals.

I've always heard it takes a few months to regulate. But I know a lot of people who got pregnant within a month of being off of them. Not sure if that's the best idea though. I started on prenatal so the minute we stopped protecting, just in case.

My doctor told me I needed to be off BC for 3 months before TTC. I went off, started trying 3 months later and on the third month of trying was pregnant. Good luck!

My dr told me I could start trying right away. But I'd ideally be off for 3 months.

My doctor told me wait 3 cycles... I got pregnant 1st cycle, mc'ed right away, 2 cycles later had a chemical... waited a few cycles, I think it was 5 cycles after the chemical and I got pregnant with this pregnancy - 34 weeks tomorrow. I would recommend waiting.
