question about a growth on dd's neck. (PIC) anyone's DC ever have something similar?

DD was born with this little white 'mole' or growth on her neck. It looks like a white head or a zit, but it CANNOT be popped. Ped said to just keep monitoring it for size.

So I finally took her to a pediatric dermatologist last month. As she has been growing, so has the 'mole'.
I forgot the exact term for it/diagnosis, I am waiting on a call back from her tomorrow.. it was something keratosis ..

Anyway, she recommended DD have an ultrasound, to make sure it's not connected to any tissue in her throat. She's going for ultrasound next week. Derm also recommended a pediatric plastic surgeon remove it.

So my questions are:

Has anyone's DC had anything like this? Derm said there is no cause for concern, it's more cosmetic than anything.

Did you have a ped plastic surgeon remove it?

Did DC go under anesthesia, or was it local?
