question about AF
i was on the pill for almost 10 years and just came off in October. obviously when i was on the pill AF was on a fixed schedule, 28 days. october to november was 23 days with a heavy normal flow and i ovulated. same thing for november to december but it was 25 days. yesterday was CD26 and the day that mymonthlycycles.com said AF would show. well in the late afternoon i started spotting and assumed it was AF and she would get heavier. but today its the same thing, just spotting.
is this normal that your flow be irregular coming off the pill? or is this spotting not normal at all? im sorry if these are silly questions. ive just been the pill so long that i dont know whats considered "normal" anymore!
eta - im bloated and cramping like a mofo like i have been in the past.

Re: question about AF
I came off BCP in September after 10 years. First month was 29 days, then the next two was 28 days. This month 33 days.

Re: question about AF
your cycles sound exactly like mine!! i went off BCP in september of 2007 after being on for almost 10 years. my first two cycles were 25 days long. the 3rd was 23 days long and i had spotting before AF which never happened before, plus cramping in my abdomen that hurt like a mother! the reason i went on the pill in the first place, at age 18, was because my cycles were so short.
it sounds like your body is still adjusting to being off the pill. i would try using OPKs to see if you have a short LP issue.
ETA: the first three cycles i was off BCP, i had a new and different symptoms every month that made me think i was PG, which wasn't the case. i used OPKs the 4th cycle and i got pregnant no problem - it turns out i was just Oing earlier than i thought.

oh thank God! i thought there was something wrong with me!
i used an opk in december and cd1 was 12/6, i O'd on 12/17 and AF came on 12/31, so it seems my LP is ok. my cycles seem to be slowly adjusting themselves which is promising. i just hope i get lucky soon!
