Question about American Dolls...
My Goddaughter's birthday is coming up next weekend and my MIL said that she likes american doll and would really love to get an outfit for her doll. I want to get her an outfit for the doll but my question A. are all the outfits for the doll one size or are there particular sizes? and B. Do I have to get an outfit that goes with the dolls name...for example I see a pair of PJ's that says Emily's pajamas now is it ok if I were to get that even if the doll she has is not called emily? Or should I just found out which doll she has?...
I would appreciate some help with this, thanks...

I don't know anything about them at all - but someone posted on the Business Board staying that they are a vendor and make dresses - you might want to send that person an FM

It depends on what type of AG goll she has. There are the historical ones- dolls from different time periods from the 1700's- 1940's. Those usually have specific outfits that go with each doll for that time period. For example, my friends DD has Samantha, a doll from 1904, so all of her clothes look like they are from the Victorian era. They also have the "modern" AG dolls, those dolls most likely go with any outfit since they all wear modern clothes.

Those are the ages that are recommended for the doll.
What type does she have? An American girl doll or a bitty baby? That would determine which to get.

I would buy a gift card, you can buy it online. I did that for my niece for her birthday and she was so excited to pick something out herself online. Then you get her something small to just open up.

My dd has an AG doll and my mom just gets any clothes from AG.
A gift card might be a better thought so she can get what she wants.

I called my MIL and she told me which outfit she likes and something else she really wants from AG which is this black cat called licorice. Her birthday is this weekend and there is no time to order it online so today I am going to the store on 5th avenue. If they don't have what she wants then I will get the GC...
