Question about baby shower theme and invites...
We've already placed the order for my invites which just have a blue baby carriage on them, they should arrive any day. My MIL just asked me yesterday if I wanted a theme....I didn't even think of it, but since she asked I said I guess elephants since that is going to be the theme of DS's room.
My question is if we are doing a theme now is it bad that the invites in no way go with the theme....and no one is going to know the theme is elephants until they get there. 
(Why do I overthink everything!)

Definitely don't stress about this, no one is going to remember what the invites looked like when they get there! I love elephants and think it will be great...don't stress over the invites, they wind up in the garbage after anyways!

ITA! my mom and sister are doing the invites and my MIL and SIL are doing the decorating, and i have a feeling they're not coordinating.

I don't think it matters that there aren't elephants on the invite. Your guests may be able to pick up on your theme when they look at your registry and see the elephant stuff.

I don't think it matters. My invites are blue W. brown polka dots. Really cute. The theme for my shower matches my nursery. A Jungle theme.

I wouldn't worry. This was my invite:
and we ended up going with a purple type theme. Also using elephants.
