Question about bounced checks..
I deposited a check into my account on Wednesday night - turns out the person bounced the check....
but I got charged $15....
I guess I've never had a check bounce on me, but I thought the person that bounced the check pays a penalty fee, not the person that deposited it....
Does your bank charge you a fee for bouncing a check that bounces???
I just can't wrap my head around it....

You can try and ask them to reimburse you the $$$..some banks might.

That is why stores have posted sometimes that there is a 20$ charge if you give them a check that bounces. It is to cover the charges they get from thier bank.
