Question about BRU returns

I know you can return something that is on your registry without a receipt, but what if the something you are returning is a variation of what you picked?

For example, the grooming set I picked had a blue case. I got the one I picked and the same exact one with a green case. The grooming set did not come off of my registry and I don't have a receipt. Will they let me return the one that I didn't pick?

I also registered for the table top diaper depot. I got the one I registered for and the one that hangs, which won't work for us. I want to return the hanging one. I don't have a gift recepit and it's a variation of the one I asked for. It also didn't get taken off the registry. Are they gonna give me a hard time?

One more question-

I registered for but didn't get the infantino front to back carrier. It came off the registry even though I didn't get it. Will I still get the 10% completeion discount if I buy it?

I'm not exactly sure about returning the variations of things, is there any way you can add them to your registry now before you go there so it looks like there were on there?

I'm not sure about the variation items you received, but I would re-register for the carrier. Also, is it possible that someone bought it for you off the web site and it didn't come in the mail yet?

A great tip I received from an LIF'er last year:

The day you go to use your completion coupon, stop by the registry desk and get the gun. Register for anything and everything that you forgot to put on your registry or added to your cart while shopping. Then return the gun and go to the cashier to spend your coupon. This really helped after DS was born, because I realized there was a lot of stuff that I wanted that I forgot to add to the registry...plus it was a great way to get him some outfits after he arrived!
