Question about DD's private area?
Her vagina looks very swollen & red She doesn't seem like she is in pain.
Maybe I am wiping too hard? Should I put anything on it?

I thought penis care was harder LOL....A swollen vagina is common on a newborn. You can put a little desitin/A&D on her but just not inside  Are your wipes sensitive?? The regular ones might be too harsh for her just yet...

I heard that pregnancy hormones can sometimes make girls swollen at birth and shortly after.

this is what my ped. said as well. DD had this problem for a bit. it went away quickly though.

I agree. The penis made me more nervous.
Swollen is normal.

Totally normal.
When my DD was about 3 weeks old, she also developed golf ball sized breasts! Again, totally normal, they went away, it was just all the hormones leaving and regulating!
