Question about Dead in the Family (maybe a spoiler)
Am I crazy or was Godrich Eric's maker???
In this book they have Appius as his maker? 
Am I confusing the show and the book?

hbo made godrich eric's maker, but in the book appius is eric's maker

What was Godrich in the book? Just another vamp? It's been so long since I read it. Did he have no ties to Eric in the book?

It's been a while since I read that book, but I'm pretty sure he was an ancient vampire who preyed on kids and then decided to meet the sun so he hooked up with the FOTS people. They had him help kidnap that cowboy vampire in Dallas (Stan's brother?) and then when they kidnapped Sookie Godrick saved her from being raped by the enforcer guy. Sookie went to witness him meeting the sun alone the morning after she escaped from the Fellowship building.

Yep that all sounds about right.
OK glad the confusion is cleared up. I can move on to me my next book in peace.
