Question about Farms and their animals...

i was just curious if anyone knows at all--this might seem like an odd question....but humor me.

around the corner from my house is a little farm---they sell organic veggies as well as honey, milk, etc. i drive past it everyday. they have a lot of small farm animals in the front in this little grazing area -- mostly ducks, sheep, geese, goats, chickens, etc.

in the dead of winter its so cold out--and there is no shelter for these animals at all. whether i drive by at 2 pm or 3 o'clock in the morning-the sheep especially--are always outside huddled together. i was just curious---since they are farm animals is there no requirement that they have shelter? does anyone know?

there probably is no requirement, but it would be nice if they had some sort of simple shelter for the sheep. I know goats & chickens can die from wet freezing weather, I don't know much about sheep. Thats really sad thoughChat Icon

i always see that farm on my way home from your house - it makes me so sad! i guess b/c they have such thick wool coats the cold doesn't really get to them as much?? i hope??

still - they should have shelter Chat Icon

I am not sure of the regulations, but where my auntie lives there are a lot of sheep farmers and I don't ever recall them having shelter. I think it would be nice thoughChat Icon
