Question about getting a BFP
For those of you who have had the experience of getting a BFP before did you tell DH as soon as you took a pregnancy test or did you go to your first doctors appointment and then tell him? Is the very first appointment the one where you hear the baby's heartbeat?

Re: Question about getting a BFP
I told him before the stick even dried! I had planned to surprise him in a cute way (the same day) but that went out the window once I saw 2 lines

Re: Question about getting a BFP
I can't imagine waiting a month to tell my husband. Usually the first doctors appointment is around 8 weeks and at that point you will have known for almost a month! Some doctors will see you earlier at around 6 weeks. If you have a sono between 6-8 weeks you should hear a heartbeat if the pregnancy is viable.
My husband knows when I know. I couldn't keep that from him, not even for a minute.

Re: Question about getting a BFP
Are you kidding? When I get that BFP I can't wait to tell DH!!! I probably will scream it from the Roof Tops ( Just like Monica from Friends when she screamed "I'm engaged!!") I imagine my moment is gonna be just like that..lol
I would wake up DH..I would love to plan a suprise but I don't think I could if I saw two lines!!!!!

Re: Question about getting a BFP
I don't understand why anyone would wait until a doctor's appt. to tell DH. I would think that it's something that you want to share with your partner immediately!
DH was at work when I took the test, the moment he got home I showed him the tests.

Re: Question about getting a BFP
DH wants to know as soon as I get a BFP. I wont tell him if I get a BFN, and instead wait until AF arrives. But when it comes to finding out I'm pregnant with his baby, I won't keep that from him for one second longer than I have to.

Re: Question about getting a BFP
I wanted to tell him in a cute way --- but that went out the window the second I saw the 2nd line... I ran downstairs to show him.
He didn't believe it so that day got a digital and took the digital late afternoon -- took it -- went up to him and said can you believe this?!

Re: Question about getting a BFP
The only waiting i would do, is if i took test in am before he left for work, i would have to wait till we both got home from work to tell him. I want to do it in person!!!
