Question about Greece (The country) Wedding related
I have a bridal shower coming up this weekend. The bride & groom live with each other so they have pretty much all the appliances they need. They only registered for a few things.
My question is... Instead of buying a gift certificate, I want to get her a Honeymoon basket. They are going to the greek islands, so I want to get her things to go in the basket thats related to Greece, as well as the basic stuff like suntan lotion, flip flops & a beach towel etc... What else would you put in the basket?

Sarongs, usually they are one sizers, & you may find something with a greek type of print on them.
I got married @ the Sanddcastle & the whole place is Greek themed,so I am trying to think of whats Greek looking to go in a shower basket . I keep thinking of greek looking columns, they have like lil ones that you could put candles on @ AC Moore, but then they cant take that on their honeymoon.,

Some off-the-beaten-path guide books, since they probably already have the Fodors type.

If you can find out some of the hotels where they are staying, you could arrange a couples massage at one of them while they are there.
What about adding an underwater disposable camera?
You could add some romantic lingerie with a greek theme (maybe you could find this on the internet)?

I went to the islands for our honeymoon... what a gorgeous place!
well, since you can't pack up a greek salad which is the FIRST thing I think of.... actually, they eat a lot of highly perishible foods, so the options in the food area are limited
raki (sort of like ouzo... they'll find out what it is soon enough )
good kalamata olives
lava rock
honey
an eye to ward off evil
leather sandals
maybe something romantic for their honeymoon?

What about a nice photo album so they can put pics of their trip in it.
