Question about hospital bag
when you go into labor and go to the hospital does DH bring in the bag right away, or leave it in the car, if he brings it in where can he leave it?

Leave it in the car, when you get put in a room after delivery, he can bring it in.

I presume right away.... I put the cord blood collection kit inside, so it HAS to go to L&D! there must be a chair in the room where it can be tucked.....

I brought it in, but I was a c-section & we had to wait in the recovery room for 6 hours.

I had a small bag with the few things I needed for labor and then DH brought in my bag of stuff when I was moved up to the maternity floor after delivery.

Im leaving it in the car. Though DH insists that I take out my lip balm and sucking candies.

Took it in with us. Don't think I used it before I delivered, but it wasn't in the way at all.

I have two bags:
One with all my stuff for Labor: cd's, lip balm, snacks for him, etc etc.
One for my hospital stay: make-up, toiletries, clothes for me and the baby's coming home outfit, etc.
The 2nd one stays in the car until I am well settled into my post-partum room.

i left most of my stuff in the car... but i had a smaller bag, that DH held onto, then passed off to his sister once i headed into the OR for my c-section...

I brought into room b/c my dds baby book and camera was in it. My hospital said they would stamp her feet into the baby book if i had it at the time of delivery. I was soo on that.
Dont remember where my dh put it, the room was big so im sure there is a place. Probable under bed?
eta: i didnt use anything i brought with me for labor. Lip balm, warmer socks, hair clips, puzzle books none of it. I just wanted Ice chips.

DS brough the bag with him when I was in labor. I put stuff in there to help me with labor i.e. massage cream, ipod, phone etc

definitely bring it in!!!
you don't know how fast things will be progressing and if you need something from the bag, you will not want DH leaving your side to get it! and he could very well miss things!
i took things from my bag all through L&D--magazines, socks, etc.
i wouldn't leave it in the car...there's plenty of room in the room for it
