Question about labor - updated 5/11/08 I guess it really was labor!
I am experiencing this constant back pain in between contractions. Sord of like mentrual cramps. Is this normal?
I thought you were supposed to be pain free in between contractions.
I should add that this the VERY early stages of labor. I am having sporadic non rhythmic contractions right now.
Update: 5/11/08
Since everyone here has been so helpful throughout my pregnany, I though I would share my update with you.

6 pounds, 10 3/4 ounces
18 1/2 inches
Mommy and baby are doing well, but we had quite a scare on Friday. During labor the baby's heart rate dropped to dangerous levels. And I required an emergency c-section. They got the baby out in record time, but he was having trouble breathing and had to be ressucitated.
He is doing well. Breathing on his own and even eating. I am hoping to be able to take him home on Tuesday.
Pics will follow soon. I am waiting for DH to bring the camera wire to the hospital so that I can upload them.
I had one scare

I didn't have much pain in between contractions before I got my epidural. I'm not sure, maybe this is back labor, or maybe you are moving along quickly?

That's kind of what I am feeling. But I guess it's a little more like bad cramps.

That's kind of what I am feeling. But I guess it's a little more like bad cramps.
If you feel like you are having back labor try and stay on all fours. It can help rotate the baby into a better position that is less painful!
