Question about mani/pedi's

How much do you usually pay for a mani/pedi and what town is your nail salon in?

My old salon in Commack was very clean and they did an awesome job (the basic pedi was $20 and it was at least a 25-35 minute pedi). It was $30 for a mani pedi. I just moved to Huntington and I need to find a place over there.

Anywho, I work in an upscale town and every single place i called wanted between $35-$40 for a mani/pedi... is that the norm or is that a little high? I thought $30 at my old place was steep....

Re: Question about mani/pedi's

That sounds pretty high to me. I usually get regular manis and regular pedis and it's usually $20 for both. If I get a special pedi (longer, more lotion, whatever) I obvi pay more. I don't think I have ever paid $40 for a mani/pedi tho.

ETA - I go to a salon in Babylon VIllage.

Re: Question about mani/pedi's

i usually pay $25 for a mani/pedi, the pedicure is about 1/2 hour and the manicure is a bit shorter. plus i get a shoulder massage in the chair while my nails are drying Chat Icon

but it totally depends on the area, this is in seaford.

I used to go to Cara di Spa in babylon Village. I loved it there when they first opened!

Thats a good salon..they get busy there though and I never have the forethought to make an appt. Lately I have been going to Barbi Nails in Babylon. And when I want a really good pedi I go to Ace Nails in Massapequa.

Re: Question about mani/pedi's

I live in Levittown PA so this isnt even relevant to you...but the place across from house charges $30 for a pedicure, but its an hour and the best pedicure i've ever had..hands down.

So I do it once a month..maybe 2x in the summer months b/c it is kind of steep.

manicures are $13.00 and there is nothing special about the manicure though.

Re: Question about mani/pedi's

I sometimes go to a place that charges $16 for both but you get what you pay for. They definitely don't put enough love into it. I will usually alternate between just getting a $25 pedi (at a better place) one month and the $16 deal with mani the next month.

Re: Question about mani/pedi's

The regular price for a mani-pedi at my place is $22.00. They have $18.00 mani-pedi's from Mon-Wed as a deal!
