Question about NYS Disability
Hi All,
I have a question. I know a woman through a friend of mine that is trying to get NYS Disability because of her anxiety/panic disorder. Apparantly, she has depression and anxiety that make it bad for her mental health.
Is this possible? can you get disability for such problems?
Any info would be great.

I'm sure she would need to go through her doctors and be diagnossed with some type of disability. And NYS will most likely require her to be examined by their doctors.
But if I were her, I would certainly start with my own doctors and talk with them. I'm sure they can lead her in the right direction.

You can definitely be put on disability for mental health issues.
But it's a very lengthy process to be certified as disabled for those types of issues.
