Question about references...
DH is filling out some forms for an interview he has next week and one section says:
"Please list two references other than relatives or previous employers."
There is no other section for references... why wouldn't they want previous employers as a reference? Who is he supposed to put? Co-workers?

Re: Question about references...
Maybe a business associate, business contact or former co-worker at or above his current job level. Previous employers are extremely limited in what they can say in reference letters which may be why this place doesn't want them.

Re: Question about references...
You want to put down an articulate former co-worker, business associate or supervisor.

Re: Question about references...
Ok he has 2 co-workers he can put down.
He was very close with the owner of his last company so he usually puts him as a reference, but he has a recommendation letter from him that he can include in the paperwork.

Re: Question about references...
I'd tell him to put his ex-supervisor. Employers themselves can only verify employment, title, salary and dates worked. That's it.
