Question about school project
My middle schooler was assigned his first project. He has a choice of about 10 options or "methods" for which the project can be done. Anything from a poster to a comic strip to a rap/song. Being your typical boy (he also has ADHD and not much patience), he wants to choose the easiest possible option, making flashcards.
As a parent, would you push him to do something a bit more creative? Or let him do as he chooses? This being a new year/new teacher, I'm inclined to make him put more effort in to make a good impression. I hate that he takes the easy way out.

Re: Question about school project
I would encourage him to do the best he can and put in the most effort in regardless of what he chooses. I think it's fine to choose the easiest one.
I dislike school projects! I hate that many parents end up helping/doing the project and it never seems fair.

Re: Question about school project
I agree with PP. I wouldn't push him to do another project, but I'd talk to him about giving his best on whatever he chooses to do.

Re: Question about school project
As a teacher, I d rather get an awesome "easier" project, than a sloppy or poorly done "hard" project. If the teacher didn't want flash cards, it wouldn't be an option. The choices are probably based on Webb, or types of intelligences.
