Question about serving mozzarella, tomato and basil...would you
serve this with Thanksgiving dinner? DH says its a summer salad, and weird to serve it around Thanksgiving. I always like serving this when I have guests because people seem to love it, but now DH is making me second guess. Thoughts? I'd serve this instead of a green salad...it always seems to go over better.

It's a Caprese salad.. you can serve it all year long.
Having SAID that.. tomatoes are best in summer so the salad itself lends itself to the summer months better than the thick of winter. You could maybe.. bulk it up? Skewer it with some fire roasted red peppers and drizzle with a reduction of balsamic vinaigrette, olive oil and garlic to add some weight?

Yes- I usually use fresh mozzarella balls with grape tomatoes and fresh basil, mix it up with balsamic, olive oil, salt and pepper. I dont care what he says, I'm making it anyway, but I just wanted to get some opinions. Thanks!

It doesn't scream Thanksgiving to me but I love this salad. As PP mentioned, just make sure you can find really good tomatoes or add a quality balsamic to hide them a bit.

I did last year at Thanksgiving and it was a huge hit! My family aren't really salad people but they love this, so it worked out well.
