QUestion about starting cereal?
I just started giving DS cereal. I give it to him in the morning about an hour after BF. I give him 1tbsp of cereal to 4tbsp formula. It has only been two days and DS is still trying to get the hang of it.
My question is how much cereal do you give in the beginning and at what time of the day did you give it to your DS/DD? Also, when did you start giving it more then once a day? Thanks!

Re: QUestion about starting cereal?
we started early since DS was a HUGE formula drinker (still is).
We started at 10 weeks. We gave it once a day and everyday gradually made it thicker which is prefers (especially now that he has teeth)
we moved up to twice a day at around 12 weeks.

Re: QUestion about starting cereal?
I started in the evening at 4 months or so. I measured it the first time, then just did it by eye. I increased to add breakfast around 5 months about 3 weeks later.
Then I introduced fruits and veggies shortly after!

Re: QUestion about starting cereal?
We started with 1 TBSP at night and then a short few weeks later started in the morning. Once he got that down we started adding fruits to his breakfast and veggies to the dinner to add flavor and substance.

Okay, maybe I should start giving it in the evenings. I'm thinking maybe it will possibly make him sleep longer at night. I will stick to the 1tbsp for a while.
