Question about starting my own website/business
How do I go about "buying" a domain name? I honestly feel I have a great idea/opportunity for a website that could possibly (in the future) allow me to work from home.
Does anyone have any Do's/Don'ts when it comes to starting up a website?
FM please!
TIA!

Re: Question about starting my own website/business
i use godaddy. they're one of the better ones. its cheap. you can search names and see whats available and buy it even if you dont do anything with it right away, its yours.

Re: Question about starting my own website/business
I just signed up with godaddy. They are running sales right now. Also get your email through them. It looks more professional having your email the same as your domain name. Also if you want to email alot of people at one time it won't be a problem. Many of the free email sites don't allow you to do this.

Re: Question about starting my own website/business
my favorite is 1and1.com
So far I have built two websites w/ their website builders.. I think they are easier and more intuitive than the godaddy builders...
check out www.darlingsanddivasofamityville.com
I built that entirely using the 1and1.com web builder for business.
