question about TARGET holiday photos

DD got her holiday photos done at Target and I just got them sent to me online through their internet service, the smile station. I wanted to send them to shutterfly and make our holiday card - but shutterfly is telling me that the photos are low resolution and shouldnt be used.

Anyone use target photos through an online photo service (Shutterfly, winkflash, etc.) ?

Did they come out nicely - or should I just do something else?

Thanks!

Re: question about TARGET holiday photos

I havent used target but I do Kiddie Kandids who also offers the online service.

The service is to be able to share photos and if you would like to re order..to do it through them. The reason why its low resolution is because you are taking it off that website opposed to getting the real copy which I am sure is a lot better. Unless you got a cd with photos...its most likely any uploads to shutterfly, snapfish, etc are going to come out..not so good.

Do you have the actually prints at home? I scan mine and then upload them to snapfish.
I scan them at a high resolution.

I already made copies and they look just like the pro ones I rec'd.

a tad off topic, but how long do the pics take to be emailed to you and how long to actually get them?

DS is going tonight.

Re: question about TARGET holiday photos

this is what happened to us. I wanted to buy the CD and they tell me when we are already there that they dont make CDs so I ask if I can use the emailed pics to make cards etc (the girlw as really cool so I figured shed tell me the truth) she said the resolution is so low so that you cant use them for anything like that. UGH Im going to scan the pics when I get them, it should work OK. Only thing is, we dont get them back till Fri. Oh well..

I had our photos done exactly one week ago. I only checked today to see if the photos could be viewed online and they were ready - maybe they were ready a few days ago, but I dont know. We're supposed to pick them up on Saturday.
