Question about the Britax Marathon...
My mom got it for Emily for her Christening which will be this Sunday -- so we just took it out of the box to check it out and the thing looks HUGE! I have a Ford Escape which is a smaller SUV and I can't even imagine it fitting, although I'm thinking it should.
I know the roundabout is a bit smaller but I thought the Marathon would be fine. What size cars do all of the Marathon Mommies have and does it fit no problem?
Should I exchange it for the Roundabout? I really wanted the Marathon because it will last so long with the 65 lb weight limit.
ETA that I tried to read the reviews on the babiesrus website but they seem to have re-done the website and reviews are no longer available.

Re: Question about the Britax Marathon...
We have a Roundabout and a Marathon in our Camry. There's really no room for a passenger back there, unless they really have a small azz.
I'd keep the Marathon, it's not *that* much bigger than the Roundabout, and it's definitely got a "longer life".

Re: Question about the Britax Marathon...
I have a Nissan Pathfinder and it fits fine. We also bought a Marathon for my parent's cars (a BMW X5 and a BMW 525) and it fits fine in both.
You may have to take the head rest off the back of the seat since it sits up so high.

I don't have a headrest in the middle -- which is where I was going to install it -- is it recommended for this seat to be installed in the middle just like we did with the infant seat?

I have a jeep Grand Cherokee and the Marathon fits perfectly. I have it behind the passenger seat. I say keep it.....I'm sure it's fine.

Re: Question about the Britax Marathon...
Does your car have the LATCH system? In my car that is where it is. In my parent's cars one is on the side one is in the middle.

I can use latch in any position in my car. We are using the latch in the middle right now, and can also use it on either side.

Re: Question about the Britax Marathon...
I'd keep the Marathon. I have one already for Andrew and will eventually have another for Lauren when she outgrows her infant seat. I have a GMC Envoy and both will fit fine, but a 3rd passenger back there in between the 2 car seats will have to be super skinny!

We have the Britax Marathon, and I drive a Pathfinder and it fits just fine.
I would see if it fits first for you before you exchange it. I dont think you should have a problem with it fitting, my friend has the Ford Escape and the Britax fits fine in her SUV.

Re: Question about the Britax Marathon...
We have one in our Accord 4 door and it just takes up one seat. Someone can easily sit next to her - it's a great carseat. Looks nice and plush and comfy!

Re: Question about the Britax Marathon...
We put the Marathon in DH's car which is an Infiniti G35X and its fine. We dont have it in the middle we have it in the end. It is still rear facing so who ever sits in the front isn't really comfortable but tolerable.
ETA: I dont have the Marathon I have the Boulevard, sorry
