Question about the timing of parties and food
Mikayla's 2nd birthday party is from 3-6pm. I was thinking of serving pizza but what time should I do that to have time for cake. I was thinking 4:30-5pm. Is that too early? If we do it any later, we will not have time for cake. Although, I DO have the park reserved until 8pm, I put 3-6 on the invites.
Any suggestions?

Re: Question about the timing of parties and food
i would say you can get away with serving the pizza earlier, around 3:30 - 4pm, if you are worried about time.

Re: Question about the timing of parties and food
Every place that I've been to for b-day parties has a 2 hour total session. First 1.5 hours is playtime. Last half-hour is pizza and cake. I've been to probably 20 b-day parties so far over several years of DS's classmates, and it's always been the same schedule.

Re: Question about the timing of parties and food
I'd do pizza around 4 or 4:30 at the very latest.
In my experience (attending kids' parties), people usually leave when they're done with their cake.
