question about the water company...
As a renter, I never had to pay for water. I'm assuming I need to contact the water company to tell them to start billing me and DH for the water as of X date... Um, what water company do I contact?
House is in Baldwin.

We live in Suffolk and it is the Water Authority....not sure if it is the same for you.

In some townships you use the water authority--if you google your town and the words water authority a number should come up. Our town has a separate water authority, but when I called the township they referred me to the correct number.

This is what we did. We called the Water Authority and they closed the billing cycle on te previous owner the day we closed and then started a new acct for us on the house. Th bills come quarterly.
