Question about Wedding Albums

Hi All!

I am new to LIFamilies ( I spent a decent amount of time on LIWeddings).

I had a question I was hoping some of you might be able to help me with.

When you made up your wedding albums, did you have to sit with the photographer (or whoever it was) and actually do the whole layout and whatnot with them??

I am going this weekend to do ours and they told me to plan on being there for 6 hours!!Chat Icon Is that normal? I figured I could just go there and give them the pics we selected and tell them what I do and dont like and then they can mock it up and DH and I can approve. Did anyone else have to do this?

TIA

Re: Question about Wedding Albums

No I just dropped off the pictures and gave some input.. such as I want this pic in black and white or whatever. But the layouts will be sent to me later and I will give input for revision.

Re: Question about Wedding Albums

I selected the photos for the album and I'm still awaiting the layout. Since we selected a digital album, I can approve, request changes, etc. the layout online. I don't have to go into the photographers studio which works best for me since I'm OOS. My parents got a traditional album and my mom had to go into the studio for approval.

I'm doing a digital as well Chat Icon I am going to have to see if they will just do like yours is doing. I dont think I can sit there all that time and obsess over every little detail - I'm too indecisive when it comes to these things.

YEah, mostly I said let the designer do what they want. I wish I could be creative to do a whole big album but I'm not.

I'm with you on that. I am leaving DH home for this b/c I can just imagine him sitting there for 6 hours doing this - definitely grounds for divorce Chat Icon

Re: Question about Wedding Albums

I'm doing a digital album, told them the picture #'s i wanted included and whether i wanted B&W or sepia or color or anything cropped out and they did the layout and emailed it to me. I HATE it. I honestly wish i could sit there for 6 hours while they showed me my options b/c i hate what they came up with.Chat Icon

good luck!

Re: Question about Wedding Albums

We were told our appointment will take about 2 hours, and then after we leave a mock layout is done, we see that and can make changes or approve it. Maybe you are doing the whole mock layout while you are sitting there?

I think so. I wouldnt mind 2 hours but 6 seems a little extreme, especially since I'm not very creative when it comes to these things so basically I will just be sitting there nodding my head yes or no. Guess I will have to wait it out and see.
