Question about what to give teacher and teacher assistant for end of year gift?
DD will be missing her nursery school graduation because we will be away on vacation.
What do parents normally give as a gift to the teacher and teacher's assistant?
She attends her nursery school 5x a week - and we like her teachers - I just don't know what's the norm to spend and / or give? I know its the thought that counts - but this is my first child and i don't have a clue as to what to buy/cash/gift??....
Any suggestions? TIA

I used to teach day care and now I am an elementary school teacher & I get a lot of gift cards (which I love). Typically to Starbucks, D & D, Target, Visa card. I would say $25 is a common amount. One gift I always love and use is personalized note cards or pads. As a teacher they are very functional and something I wouldn't buy for myself.
