Question bout stomach pain & stomach viruses
ive had a stomach virus since sat 2 am...i stopped yaking, but i have a pain in the mid of my stomach still...could it be from yakking too hard?
also, what can i take to make me feel stronger? i feel so weak! tia!

For me the pain is usually since I have nothing left in me it’s a pain of emptiness/gas and over working of my muscles. Figure you really don’t use those muscles much for anything else. I get energy back with carbs and sugars. Slow and steady. Clear fluids and breads. LOTS of water. Mostly it just takes time.
I had a bout of food poisoning on Xmas Eve. Took until this past weekend to really get over it all. The pain and weakness lasted easily into Xmas day.

DH was up Friday night at 4am with a stomach thing. Even though he stopped yakking by mid-morning he still had stomach pains all day. He just ate toast and soup and drank tea or water. Make sure you drink alot of fluids and that may make you feel a little stronger. Feel better!

thanks so much! ive been trying to eat toast/pretzels/crackers. i havent had a stomach virus in over 10 years, so it wasnt pretty. i feel better, but i think its just gas pains. thanks ladies.

Make sure you drink gatorade- it will help you feel stronger...you are probably very dehydrated....

years ago, I got seriously sick on a cruiseship. the european Dr. gave me pedialyte.... I know, it's for babies, but it seriously restored my electrolytes ASAP. just ask someone to pick it up for you in a less-offensive flavor (I think it comes in orange or grape?)
that experience taught me how much better I could feel simply by rehydrating and regaining my electrolytes

oh- one more thing:
are you sure you didn't get food poisoning? If you think that may be a possibility, make sure no one else eats leftovers of whatever you think may have caused it....

Careful with Gatorade. It will dry you out. Make sure to dilute with water.
