Question for all of you!
I recently got several BFPs- much earlier than I was expecting. I tested on a whim on Monday Night. This was only 8 DPO! It was very very faint- but every test I've taken since has gotten darker and darker. I was so shocked to actually get a BFP this early! Twins run in both mine and DH's family- and I was wondering when all of you got your BFPs- and if getting a BFP this early means that I could possibly be carrying twins. Sorry so long! Thanks so much!!!

I had a BFP after I mmissed AF. The thing that made me curious about twins was the speed with which the line appeared... You never know!! CONGRATS to you on your one or two!

Got my BFP 2 days before AF was due (12 DPO) - I had a very very faint line a day or so before that but didn't actually confirm or believe it until 2 days before AF.

well, my dad is a twin, so it runs in my family..however my boys are from IVF and I tested positive 6 days after a 5 day transfer

I got a dark postive line on the day AF was due. I did not test before that. However, the test said to wait 2 minutes for results and i was still peeing on the stick and the line came out dark! My DR said that was because with twins you have double the amount of that hormone pregnancy tests test. SO if you get a really dark line quickly you could be pregnant with twins. GOOD LUCK!

I am curious because I was getting BFPs more than 5 days before AF was due- and literally as soon as the urine was going across the test area, it was turning into a line. Interesting. I have my first Dr's appt tomorrow- just to take blood- so I guess we will see what the results are.
Would I have a higher level of hormones this early in the game?

Most definetly, that is what my doctor told me.

If you go in for your Beta test they will tell you the number and compare it to how many DPO you are.
That's often a good indication.
When my doctor called me with my Beta, don't ask me how I was not a POAS addict after my IVF probably from such a fear of a BFN, I asked him what the number was (631). Then I looked it up on-line. Considering how many DPO I was I think the "normal" range was 300-480 or something like that so with 631, I pretty much knew it was twins right away.
