Question for anyone with a Pottery Barn rug
I got one for my sons room, it's 100% wool and feels awesome. However...it sheds like a #*&$@*. Is this normal??? It's worse than if I had 10 longhaired cats. My mother use to have a wool rug (not PB) and said she never remembered hers shedding. I'm not sure if I should call them or not. Also alot of ends poking out of the design. There are a lot of colors in it and I know that the weaving ends somewhere but when I vacuum, I get alot of pieces sticking out.
TIA

Re: Question for anyone with a Pottery Barn rug
I cannot believe I found you!!!! LOL
Seriously though we got the rug from PB in July. At first I was vacumming it once a day. Now its once a week and I can STILL fill the vacuum canister with it all that comes off this damn rug.
I called them and they said it is an authentic wool rug from india and that this is normal. The problem is that the rug is cranberry and my coffee table sits on it and those red "hairs" get all over the place.
What should we do? I spent $$$ on this thing

Re: Question for anyone with a Pottery Barn rug
I don't think it's a PB issue - it's wool. Wool rugs will shed...sometimes for over a year.
It's one of the reasons I can't have one - I'm so allergic, I can't even walk past wool rugs on display in a store without my throat closing up.

Re: Question for anyone with a Pottery Barn rug
We got ours about 2 months ago and the shedding has decreased now.
We vacuum every day because of the dog and baby.
