Question for fellow coupon junkies...
I was just watching this video on CNN:
Video on Coupon Lady
This "coupon lady" talks about how she saves the most money from "refund offers" and coupons to "get my next item free" that she signs up for.
What is she talking about? I'm all about the coupons and have never heard of such a thing! The only thing I can think of is when you write to a company to complain about a product and they send you a coupon for a free item, but she couldn't be making a habit out of that, could she?

The only "next item free" I know about is when you buy 5 (or is it 6?) gallons of millk at S&S they'll give you a coupon for the next one free. I'd like to know what refunds she's talking about.
Something just doesn't make sense with her. I do all of those things and I don't save 97% off my order.
And I never get a coupon for something when I complain to a company about a product. I must be doing somethinig wrong!!

I dont have a clue what she's talking about- but I remember watching wife swap and this woman was like a professional coupon cutter and would save like 70% on her groceries
I dont have the kind of time for that- but I cut and use coupons whenever I can

I used to work with someone like that, she would buy multiple Sunday papers and shop on specific days and hit 4 different grocery stores to get the most savings on specific items. To be that obsessive over it is not worth it, IMO.

I'm really curious about this now. Before watching the video I was thinking maybe it's something like CVS ExtraBucks, but it's clearly not that. I get excited when I save $20. I'd love to save that kind of money!

My mom does this and pays next to nothing for a cart FULL of groceries. I have no patience for it. I cut coupons.. but I buy what I need and that is it. She isn't picky on brands and stocks up on items that she has coupons for, that are also on sale.

Oh, I meant to post last night and I forgot. I joined the coupon mom website and last night I found an article where she talks about rebates. She doesn't specifically say names or anything, but she said she gets rebate forms on the shelves at the food stores, at the customer service desk, and on the manufacturer websites. Maybe that's what this lady is talking about?

When Stop and Shop used to double $1 coupons, we used to save soo much money. We were always getting things for free.

OMG us too.
One year our savings total was like $1300 for the year- between S&S sale prices with the card and double coupons and using the King Kullen coupon there.
I HEART coupons!
