Re: Question for formula feeding moms

I use water from a brita for DS bottles.

If we are out and I forget to fill a bottle before we leave the house, then I use bottled water.

I used tap water. Its more regulated then bottle water. I forgot who, but a mom here maybe julz, did. Test or something and there was gasoline in bottled water. Something like that.

If they are supposed to be using distilled water, would you say anything? We're very close with them, and I think they would take it okay.

Honestly Chrissy, I would just let them know that Poland Spring water is not regulated the was most municipal tap water is. Levels of toxins are allowed in bottled Spring Water. Maybe they can choose to use a bottled purified water.

Also BPA levels in bottled water from the plastic could be a concern.

I boiled the water for all DS's bottles then put it in a pitcher for the day and left it on the counter so it was room temp.

When we were on vacation I used the nursery water.

this is us too

Again, I really think the recommendation has to do with FLUORIDE content - not toxins, gasoline (!?!), etc....

I remember reading an article that traces of gasoline & fecal matter Chat Icon were found in bottled spring water. That was more my concern than the fluoride.

ALLL water filters through the ground regardless of the source. i have a feeling that if someone looked hard enough, they could find traces of fecal matter and gasoline in any water
