question for girls who have had OHSS??
Ok, I am due to have IUI MON & Tues.. In my previous post I wrote about having 8 follies already..
anyway I am very bloated, crampy, light headed and I feel like throwing up. I have read about OHSS, but it says it usually happens when the egg is released.... Mine isn't yet..
so can I have it before? help!!

I have it right now, but it didn't begin to develop until a few days after my egg retrieval. Give your dr. a call and see what he says. Good luck!

You may be feeling that way b/c of the meds. OHSS occurs after the eggs are released. I had it twice and it is awful! I agree that you should call your doc and just let him know how you are feeling. Feel better!

I also meant to ask, is your doc going to go ahead with the IUI having that many follies?

you cannot get OHSS before ovulation as the fluid produced by the corpus luteum are a large part of the issue.
as far as doing an IUI with 8 mature follies... not sure how many doctors would actually let you do that...
