Question for ladies that stopped getting AF
Hey ladies, I am cd40 and no AF in sight I went to the dr on friday and they sent me for blood work and set up a sonogram (but in 2 weeks!). I was just wondering if other girls had this problem and what caused it and how did they correct it? It's so frustrating when you are TTC and for feel like you are stuck in one place while time flys pass you.
For some background: I just went off BCP after 8 years in January. Got AF right on time (cd28) - first week of February. It was really heavy and painful cramps. Was due for AF March 6th.
thanks ladies, at this point I know SOMETHING is wrong - I guess I'm just scared to know what it is...

Re: Question for ladies that stopped getting AF
I very rarely got AF. Apparently it was due to PCOS and possibly Hypothyroidism.

I went off BCP in January, got my pd on CD 35. Now I am on CD 42 and no pd. in site but isn't this normal when coming off the bcp or should I be heading to the doctor?? Not really TTC yet but will be this summer.....

Re: Question for ladies that stopped getting AF
I was the same way, only getting AF twice a year or so, when finally I went to the doctor who said I had PCOS.. I was able to be put on Provera and Clomid and conceived, so you never know!

Re: Question for ladies that stopped getting AF
It can take up to 6 months to get back to normal after coming off BCP. I went off last June and am still not entirely normal. My doctors were not particularly concerned about my cycles, but given other issues, I will be going on Clomid soon.
